What is Product Liability Insurance?
Product liability insurance can cover the cost of compensation claims if someone is injured or their property is damaged by a product that you have sold or manufactured. It will generally cover legal fees as well as compensation costs.
Insurance Obligations
You are obliged to be truthful with the insurer and tell them about any material facts. There is no legal requirement to hold product liability insurance but you will often find that distributors, manufacturers, retailers, suppliers and other persons in the distribution chain require you to have cover.
